diplomatiques de Sarkozy. Ce qu'il dit est
terrible. Dans son cinquième roman, deux frères d'origine algérienne
tiennent leur journal. Ils vivent en France, banlieue parisienne, et
apprennent avec horreur la destinée de leur père: Hans
Schiller, héros du FLN, était officier SS; il vient de
finir ses jours au bled, égorgé par le GIA.
"En avançant dans mes recherches sur l'Allemagne nazie et la
Shoah, j'avais de plus en plus le sentiment d'une similitude entre
le nazisme et l'ordre qui prévaut en Algérie et dans beaucoup de
pays musulmans et arabes. On retrouve les mêmes ingrédients et on
sait combien ils sont puissants. En Allemagne ils ont réussi à faire
d'un peuple cultivé une secte bornée au service de l'Extermination;
en Algérie, ils ont conduit à une guerre civile qui a atteint les
sommets de l'horreur, et encore nous ne savons pas tout. Les
ingrédients sont les mêmes ici et là: parti unique, militarisation
du pays, lavage de cerveau, falsification de l'histoire, exaltation

l'Amérique et la France sont tour à tour sollicités par le pouvoir

la police et de ses indics, discours enflammés, organisations de
masses disciplinées, grands rassemblements, matraquage religieux,
propagande incessante, généralisation d'une langue de bois mortelle
pour la pensée, projets pharaoniques qui exaltent le sentiment de
puissance (ex: la 3ème plus grande mosquée du monde que Bouteflika
va construire à Alger alors que le pays compte déjà plus de minarets
que d'écoles), agression verbale contre les autres pays à propos de

Gudrun Eussner kritisiert Küntzels These, der Antisemitismus der
Islamisten sei nationalsozialistischen Ursprungs. Sie verweist
vielmehr auf die dem Islam ureigenen antijüdischen Wurzeln. Moslems
seien selbst schon lange vor dem Aufkommen des NS in der Lage
gewesen Pogrome gegen Juden durchzuführen.

Johnson dugs deep, to the start of the Cold War, uncovering the
untold story of a group of ex-Soviet Muslims who had defected to
Germany during World War II. There, they had been fashioned into a
well-oiled anti-Soviet propaganda machine. As that war ended and the
Cold War began, West German and U.S. intelligence agents vied for
control of this influential group, and at the center of the covert
tug of war was a quiet mosque in Munich radical Islam's first
beachhead in the West. Culled from an array of sources, including
newly declassified documents, A Mosque in Munich interweaves
the stories of several key players: a Nazi scholar (Gerhard
von Mende) turned postwar spymaster; key Muslim leaders
across the globe, including members of the Muslim Brotherhood (Youssef
Nada); and naive CIA (Robert H. Dreher)
men eager to fight communism with a new weapon, Islam. A rare

President Eisenhower endorsed all sorts of plans to
use religion--his advisers called it the "religious factor."
Embracing the Muslim Brotherhood was part of this
strategy.... On September 23, 1953, he met Said
Ramadan, "Delegate of the Muslim Brothers." It wasn’t a big,
important meeting, but it was the culmination of early efforts by
the Eisenhower administration to use Islam to fight communism.
Pulitzer-winning journalist Johnson (Wild Grass: Three Portraits
of Change in Modern China) tells a probing saga of militant
Islamism rooted in a Munich mosque in a cold war strategy gone wrong.
The mosque eventually became the epicenter of Islamist organizing in
Europe and America. Johnson's story goes back to Nazi Germany's
recruitment of Soviet Muslim POWs into anti-Soviet propaganda
organizations; during the cold war, the CIA vied with West Germany
to control these Munich-based exiles for anti-Soviet propaganda. The
CIA brought in Said Ramadan, an Egyptian
anticommunist—and member of the Muslim Brotherhood,
who stealthily wrested control of a mosque-building project from the
CIA- and German-controlled Muslim factions, redirecting it to
Islamism. Johnson pens a lucid, closely observed account of the
fraught intersection of intelligence bureaucracies with émigré
political factions. It's not quite a tale of blowback: the mosque
was funded largely by Saudi and Libyan
money, and the Muslim Brotherhood seems to have
been only marginally abetted by the CIA. But it is a troubling
example of America's perennial cluelessness about the Muslim world
and its religious politics.

Palestine
did not exist in the 19th century. …Definitely, the territory of the
[British] Palestine Mandate corresponded to [Ottoman] Mediterranean
Syria and its inhabitants considered themselves as being part of
Syria.
The so-called ‘Palestinian’ Arabs do not speak Palestinian, and
there was no such place as ‘Palestine’ until the British
colonialists -- infidel foreigners -- imperially defined Middle
Eastern boundaries after WWI, giving the name ‘Palestine’ first
arbitrarily to one territory, then arbitrarily to another.
The
supposedly traditional tolerance for Christians and Jews in Muslim
societies (because they are People of the Book and therefore “protected
people”) is... propaganda. The
Augustinian policy, which became the European policy because of the
enduring influence and power of the Roman Catholic Church, also
became the policy of Muslims, inherited through its specific
implementation in the Eastern Roman Empire which they conquered, and
whose laws they adopted. This is what explains the almost perfect
identity between the traditional European and Muslim policies toward
the Jews: each is an expression of Augustine.
The
links between one and the other persist strongly in the modern world
as well. The top leader of the German Nazi Final Solution to the 'Jewish
Problem,' the partner in everything of the better known
Adolf Eichmann, was
Hajj Amin al Husseini,
an Arab Muslim who had already distinguished himself as the leader
of a jihad against the Jews of British Mandate Palestine,
including the 1929 terrorist attacks mentioned at the outset. One of
these attacks, in 1936-39, had been organized with weapons supplied
by Adolf Hitler.

...In
1933, within weeks of
Hitler's rise to power in
Germany,
al-Husayni sent a telegram to Berlin addressed to the German
counsul-general in the
British Mandate of Palestine saying he looked forward to
spreading their ideology in the
Middle East, especially in Palestine and offered his services....In
1941 he presented
Hitler
with fifteen drafts of declarations that he wanted the
Axis to
adopt. These declarations sought Nazi support for the wiping out of
Jews in Palestine. Hitler refused to issue an official proclamation
in support of the Palestinians but gave the Mufti his word that
Germany shared the Palestinian desire of wiping out the
Jews from
the
Middle East and promised that when Germany conquered the
Caucasus
they would wipe out Palestinian Jewry.
On March
1, 1944 the Mufti broadcasted from
Berlin:
"Arabs! Rise as one and fight for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews
wherever you find them. This pleases God, history, and religion.
This saves your honor." In June 1944,
Dieter Wisliceny, Eichmann's deputy for
Slovakia
and
Hungary, told Dr. Rudolf Kasztner in
Budapest
that he was convinced that the Mufti had played a role in the
decision to exterminate the European Jews... The importance of this
role must not be disregarded... The
Mufti
had repeatedly suggested
to the various authorities with whom he was maintaining contact,
above all to Hitler, Ribbentrop and
Himmler, the extermination of
European Jewry. He considered this as a comfortable solution of the
Palestinian problem. At the
Nuremberg Trials in July
1946,
Wisliceny testified:
"The Mufti was one of the initiators of the systematic extermination of European Jewry and had been a collaborator and adviser of Eichmann and Himmler in the execution of this plan... He was one of Eichmann's best friends and had constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard him say, accompanied by Eichmann, he had visited incognito the gas chamber of Auschwitz."
Wisliceny also testified that after the Mufti's arrival in Germany he had paid visit to Himmler and shortly afterwards (late in 1941 or early in 1942) had visited Eichmann in his Berlin office at Kurfürstenstrasse 116. According to Wisliceny, Eichmann told him that he had brought the Mufti to a special room where he showed him maps illustrating the distribution of the Jewish population in various European countries and delivered a detailed report on the solution of the Jewish problem in Europe.

und andere haben offenbar von einem Buch des Joseph B. Schechtman
aus dem Jahre 1965 abgeschrieben: The Mufti and
the Fuehrer. Schechtman wiederum
beruft sich auf Maurice Pearlman (aka Moshe Perlman), Mufti of Jerusalem, The Story of Haj Amin el Husseini, London 1947 (Auszüge
online hier!, 2006 Reprint mit Ergänzungen verfügbar bei
Pavilion Press), und auf eigene Durchsicht der
Protokolle des Nürnberger Kriegsverbrecherprozesses. Schechtman ist ein alter
Haudegen des revisionistischen Zionismus in der Folge des Zeev Jabotinsky. Er stammt aus der Ukraine und hat in den
Zwanzigern in Deutschland gelebt, spricht daher auch deutsch und
konnte die Aussagen des Dieter Wisliceny beim
Nürnberger Tribunal im deutschen Original lesen. Wislicenys
offiziell beeidete Aussage in englischer Sprache, die
im Netz
einzusehen ist, enthält allerdings keinen Hinweis auf den Mufti. Die entscheidenden Seiten des
Schechtman-Buches
sind im Netz faksimiliert. Ein weiterer Zeuge ist ein
Dr.
Rudolf Kastner (aka Reszö. Kasztner bzw. Köstner), ein
Zionist in Budapest, der Kontakt zu den Nazis pflegte, um Juden zur
Ausreise verhelfen zu können. Der hat die Muftigeschichte wiederum
von Wisliceny bei dessen Wirken in Budapest gehört.
Kastner soll auch behauptet haben, dieselbe Version
von Eichmann gehört zu haben. Die Verhöre von
Adolf Eichmann wiederum haben nur erbracht, dass
Eichmann den Mufti kannte (was der später
allerdings vehement abstritt), aber nicht, dass der Mufti
der Inspirator des Holocaust gewesen wäre. In diese
Richtung wurde offenbar nicht ermittelt.
Kritiker sagen nun, die Beweiskette sei zu dünn, da sie nur aus
Quellen vom Hörensagen stammen. Seit dem Erscheinen von Schechtmans Buch sind ja nun schon 45 Jahre vergangen (eine
deutsche Ausgabe scheint's nicht gegeben zu haben, jedenfalls konnte
ich darauf bislang keinen Hinweis finden) und es scheinen keine
neuen Quellen zu diesem Thema gefunden worden zu sein. Es gab
offenbar auch kein großes Interesse daran, welche zu finden...

In 1946, Hasan al-Banna, founder of the Muslim Brethren, lavished praise on Hitler's favorite Arab, Haj Amin el-Husseini, calling him "a hero … a miracle of a man." Banna added for good measure: "Germany and Hitler are gone, but Amin el-Husseini will continue the struggle." ... Islamism took on a Nazi quality. As someone who has criticized the term Islamofascism on the grounds that it gratuitously conflates two distinct phenomena, I have to report that Herf's evidence now leads me to acknowledge deep fascist influences on Islamism. 4,000 children, accompanied by 500 adults, from leaving Europe and

sent to death camps; fifth, he organized the killing of 12,600
Bosnian Jews by Muslims, whom he recruited to the Waffen-SS

significant role in the murder of European Jewry, he sought to
replicate the genocide against the Jews in

In a talk at the Islamic Central Institute on November
2, 1943, the mufti
called on Muslims to follow the example of National Socialist
Germany, since the latter “knew how to save itself from the evil [Unheil]
done by the Jews. . . . It had precisely identified the Jews and
decided to find a definitive solution to the Jewish menace, in order
to eliminate their evildoing [Unheil]
from the world.” Gensicke points to the latter
remark as evidence that the mufti was “well informed” about the
extermination program that was by this time long underway in the
Nazi death camps in occupied Poland. Indeed,
perhaps the most shocking finding of Gensicke’s
research concerns the repeated efforts of the mufti after
1943 to ensure that no European Jews
should elude the camps: this during a period when it was becoming
increasingly obvious even to the Nazi leadership that Germany would

according to the post-War recollections of a Foreign Ministry
official, “The Mufti turned up all over the place

the Deputy Minister and in other sections: for example, Interior,
the Press Office, the Broadcast service, and also the
ss.” “The Mufti was
a sworn enemy of the Jews,” the official concluded, “and he made no
secret of the fact that he would have preferred to see them all
killed.”

The author devoted too little attention to the
Grand Mufti's great influence in the region. He did not
make sufficient use of the Mufti's memoirs which were published in
Damascus in 1999, in which there are topical insights and major
disclosures. For example, Heinrich Himmler, one of the
Holocaust's chief architects, told the Grand Mufti in
mid-1943 that Germany thus far had eliminated some three million Jews (Abd
al-Karim al-Umar, ed, Muzakkirat al-Hajj

). Therewith Amin al-Husaini, in
his own words, ended decades of disputes concerning what he might have
known about the Holocaust. This admission shows that he was becoming an
accomplice of the Jewish mass murder, continuing to work for the Nazis
until the very end.

al-Husaini eine systematische Terrorkampagne organisierte, deren
Opfer nicht allein die zionistischen Siedler gewesen seien, sondern

oder vermeintliche islamische Verhaltensregeln wurden gewaltsam
durchgesetzt, darunter die Verwendung des heute populären

U.N. schools decide against teaching topic after protests by
Palestinian (msnbc, 8.9.09).
The uproar has left the U.N. Relief and
Works Agency, which runs 221 of more than 600 primary and secondary
schools in Gaza, caught between the territory's Hamas leaders — some
of them ardent Holocaust deniers — and outraged Jewish groups. The subject is not taught in U.N.-run
schools for Palestinian refugees in the West Bank, Syria, Jordan and
Lebanon. Nor is it taught in Palestinian government schools in the
West Bank or Gaza. Holocaust denial is still common in the
Palestinian territories. "By disconnecting the Holocaust from human
rights, (the U.N. agency) is highlighting the anti-Semitic bias that
pervades the U.N. system," Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, a
Republican congresswoman from Florida, said in a statement. The Palestinian refugee group that first raised
the proposed Holocaust lesson plans called the Nazis' attempt to
eradicate European Jewry "a lie made up by the Zionists."

Hamas spiritual leader on Monday called teaching Palestinian
children about the Nazi murder of 6 million Jews a "war crime,"
rejecting a suggestion that the U.N. might include the Holocaust in
Gaza's school curriculum. Hamas spiritual leader Younis
al-Astal lashed out after hearing that the U.N. Relief and
Works Agency, the main U.N. body aiding Palestinian refugees,
planned to introduce lessons about the Holocaust to Gaza students.
Adding the Holocaust to the curriculum would amount to "marketing a
lie and spreading it," al-Astal wrote in a statement.

Golden Age of Islamic tolerance, above all as depicted in Islamic
Spain?
Muhammad set the
example for antisemitism. The oldest extant biography of Muhammad,
that by Ibn Ishaq as transmitted by Ibn Hisham, is replete with the
Prophet's evident hatred of Jews. He had individual Jews
assassinated if he felt that they had somehow insulted or disobeyed
him. When Muhammad gave the command “Kill any Jew that falls into
your power,” one of his followers, Ibn Mas'ud, assassinated
Ibn Sunayna, a Jewish merchant. Other followers of Muhammad were
happy to obey similar orders from their leader: “Our attack upon
God's enemy cast terror among the Jews, and there was no Jew in
Medina who did not fear for his life.”
Other Jews killed included Sallam ibn
Abu’l-Huqayq, Ka‘b b.al-Ashraf,
and al-Yusayr. The Jewish tribe Banu
Qurayza, consisting of between 600-800 men, were exterminated,

attacked, and all who remained alive banished.

Wenn wir uns daran erinnern, dass der "SPIEGEL" vor einiger Zeit ein Titelbild brachte, auf dem die Schlagzeile "Die stille Islamisierung" stand und dann ein Halbmond über dem Brandenburger Tor zu sehen war, dann wird damit eine Dominanzfantasie, wonach der Islam die Weltherrschaft will, repräsentiert...." (Kommentar des admin: Der "liebe Herr Dr. Widmann", so angesprochen von der "Islamischen-Zeitung", entpuppt sich hier als Fellow-Traveler einer zunehmenden, rückwärts gewandten Religiosität, die vom Kern her einen politisch-ideologisch totalitären Charakter in sich birgt. Beim Kopftuch sieht er Integrationswillen, bei der Ablehnung des Islams sieht er eine Phobie, frei offenbar nach dem Motto der Islam an sich ist gut. Und: Ist der Halbmond über dem Brandenburger Tor nicht vielleicht etwas, was sich viele Muslime wünschten? Worin liegt da eine Dominanzfantasie, und bei wem?)
